Location: Wombourne, Wolverhampton, WV5
Wage: 14.00 Gross per Hour (Weekend rate), £308.00 per weekend gross.
Essential: Experience supporting a young adult with a physical disability, confident driver
Desirable: NVQ level 2
Days & Hours: One Weekend Per Month: Saturday and Sunday: 9.30am to 8.30pm 

Family/Client Pets: Yes, 1 cat and 1 dog.

About this client/child:
Macy is 22 years old; she lives at home with her family in Wombourne and has a full support team in place to enable her to live independently. Macy is a whirlwind, she loves life and makes the most of it! Macy has Dyskinetic Quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy, as a result, she is a wheelchair user and requires support to meet all her needs.  A true girly girl who loves to be pampered, spend time shopping, listening to music, and watching her favourite TV shows such as Friends and Sister Sister!

Overview of role:
The Female* Support Worker will provide hands-on 1:1 practical care and support to Macy, following her care plan, assisting with personal care, administering medication, feeding (pureed diet), therapy, moving and handling/hoisting. As Macy's support worker/PA, you will help her participate in activities, access the community and attend events. 
This is a great position for an LSA/TA or Student or experienced Support Worker looking for additional weekend hours.  The rota is provided up to 4 months in advance and there are bank shifts available if you are interested in picking up additional hours (days and occasional nights) some weeks. (Weekday rate paid at £12.00 gross an hour).  £14.00 gross per hour, £308.00 gross for the weekend.

Who this job would suit:
An energetic, positive, friendly, and outgoing Support Worker with a great attitude, keen to learn, and happy to muck in as and when needed. An experienced Support Worker with excellent communication skills and a true passion for their role. For this role, you must be confident driving an adapted, automatic vehicle.
