Full-Time Support Worker
Location: West Ealing, W7
Wage/Salary: £14.00 weekdays | £16.00 weekends | Gross per Hour
Essential: Experienced in providing care and support, manual handling, excellent command of the English language. Calm and proactive. Driver (automatic)
Days & Hours: 36.75 contracted hours per week. 3 shifts per week. 8.00am – 8.15pm or 8.00pm – 8.15am

About this client:
Mary is in her 60s and lives with her husband in Ealing and enjoys planning trips, shopping, and exploring events in her local community and further afield.  Mary sustained an Acquired Brain Injury and as a result, she is dependent on round-the-clock 2:1 support to meet all her care needs (day and night support). Mary is a wheelchair user and receives some medication and fluid via her PEG. Mary requires full support due to not having the capacity to make decisions regarding finances, dwelling, care, and treatment although she can communicate verbally, this may only be an odd word.
Overview of role:
As Mary’s Support Worker you will provide practical, emotional, and holistic support, assisting with all aspects of Mary’s care plan and rehabilitation programme. Mary can display behaviours that challenge, training, guidance, and support are provided by her psychologist to help Mary with self-regulation. The Support Worker will be an advocate for Mary, promoting her independence and enabling her to live a fulfilling life and continue to participate in her hobbies.  You must be a team player and be confident working closely with team members and in collaboration with other healthcare professionals. As this is a full-time role it is essential that you are available for a mixture of day, waking night, and on-call night shifts. The rota is provided 4 weeks in advance.
Pay rates:
Weekday/nights: £14.00 Gross per hour
Weekend/nights: £16.00 Gross per hour

An experienced Support Worker with full-time availability and looking to make a long-term commitment to a client. It is essential that you are a confident driver (automatic) and can commit to a mixture of shifts. For this role is it essential that you are reliable, resilient and, compassionate.
