Essential: Experienced in team management, coordinating training needs and supervision. Experience supporting adults with neurological diagnosis/ ABI and complex needs including PEG feeds. Experience in managing an administrative workload and hands on care.
Start Date: ASAP
Days & Hours: 2 shifts per week and 5 hours admin duties.

About this client:
Mary is in her 60’s, lives with her husband in Ealing. She enjoys attending social events, feeling part of her local community, planning trips and getting out and about, and this is a main aspect of the role for all team members. Mary is supported by a team of carers providing 24/7, 2:1 support which includes waking and on call night support. Mary has an acquired brain injury (ABI) that affects her speech, cognition, and mobility. Mary requires assistance with all aspects of her life including mobility (all transfers), feeding, personal care and coordinating all medical support.

Overview of role:
As Mary’s Deputy Care Team Leader, you will work closely with her Case Manager, Team Leader, and her multidisciplinary team. Your role will include hands-on care including personal care, PEG feeding, medication administration, implementing therapies, completing household cleaning and general coordination of care. You will assist the Team Leader to complete administrative tasks and manage the staff team, including induction, supervision, training, and performance manage team members as required. You will be responsible for compiling monthly rosters, annual leave requests, petty cash, monitoring carer notes, auditing medication stock, ensuring all equipment is in working order, manage any health and safety risks with the support of case management and writing monthly update reports.  2 Shifts per week (days and nights) 8.00am – 8.15pm and 8.00pm – 8.15am. Flexibility essential to work days/ nights/ weekends. Days and Waking nights: £18.00 weekdays | £20.00 weekends gross per hour depending on experience, Bank holidays £36.00 gross per hour.

An experienced, hardworking and organised Deputy Care Team Leader, with previous experience in leading and managing care teams. You will be robust, resourceful, and committed. Excellent communication, delegation and time management skills and computer literacy are essential for this role. You are required to have a methodical, calm, and proactive approach towards coordinating client care.
