About this child:
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a small, dedicated team to support delightful Dan (5) and his family. Dan is very active, he enjoys playing basketball and football, playing with marbles, running and jigsaw puzzles. He has two older siblings and loves spending time with them. Dan has Dravet syndrome which presents with severe epileptic seizures.
Overview of role:
We require a fun loving, patient, flexible and caring Waking night carer who will assist Dan during the night, monitor and manage his seizures, administer his medication and making sure he is comfortable. £16.00 gross per hour weekday, £17.00 gross per hour weekends. 2 nights per week 8.00pm to 8.00am (Friday and one other night per week)
Who this job would suit:
For this exciting position we are seeking a confident, fun and energetic candidate with genuine interest in working with children. It is essential that you have epilepsy / seizure experience and administering emergency medication. You will also be confident in First Aid and CPR. Experience working with Dravet Syndrome is desirable.
