About this child:
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a small, dedicated team to support delightful Dan (5) and his family. Dan is very active, he enjoys playing basketball and football, play with marble run and jigsaw puzzles. He has two older siblings and loves spending time with them. Dan has Dravet syndrome which presents with severe epileptic seizures.

Overview of role:
We require a fun loving, patient, flexible and caring Support Worker who will assist Dan during the night, monitor and manage his seizures, administer his medication and making sure he is comfortable. On Fridays you will support Dan with his routine, play with him, implement any therapy he requires, assist with light housekeeping tasks and pitch in as and when needed. You will be required to pick him up at 10:30am from school and bring him home for lunch and then take him back to school again. While Dan is at school you will be required to stay at home in case he has a seizure and you have to go and assist with emergency medication. 
£16.00 gross per hour weekday, £17.00 gross per hour weekends. 2 flexible nights per week 8.00pm to 8.00am and Friday day shift 9.00am to 7.30pm.

Who this job would suit:
For this exciting position we are seeking a confident, fun and energetic candidate with genuine interest in working with children. It is essential that you have epilepsy / seizure experience and administering emergency medication. You will also be confident in First Aid and CPR. Experience working with Dravet Syndrome is desirable.
