Start Date: ASAP, one-year contract
Days & Hours: Average of 40 hours a week, a mixture of weekdays and weekends, guaranteed 2 days off each week.

About this client/child:
George aged 6 enjoys music and water -and is very motivated by food; he’ll eat anything and everything if it has been blended! His younger brother aged 2 enjoys all things play. George has a Rett Syndrome, a neurological disorder. He is non-verbal, non-mobile and has dystonia. He can communicate indicating his desires with his eyes and with yes-no cards which you pick up on, the more you get to know him. George receives a lot of therapy which the family like to make fun.

Overview of role:
This lovely family is looking for an additional, daily (live-out) *Female Nanny to join George’s team as his needs evolve. His family would like to ensure he has enough support at home as well as to make sure everyone gets a good break. Mum and the current Nanny are very engaged and so is Dad when he’s not travelling for work. The house has been fully adapted to support George’s needs, there are hoists in his bedroom and bathroom. You will work closely with George and his family to assist with his routines, personal care, medication administration and therapy sessions. The family has a very strong team ethos, they will ensure the Nanny is well supported, briefed, and working in synch with them. You will be working 5 days a week (roughly 9.00 am to 5.00 pm), this will include some weekends which you will coordinate with the current Nanny.
