About this client:
Gloria (20) is an engaging and bright young lady who is in her second year of university degree. She enjoys eating out, shopping, spending time with her friends and family and travelling. Gloria attends church on Sundays. Gloria sustained spinal injury, she is a wheelchair user and is ventilator dependent. She requires 1:1 support with all her daily tasks.  Gloria lives in a fully adapted house, at the heart of a loving family. Next year she is hoping to relocate to her own flat close to the university campus.

Overview of role:

We are looking for 2 Waking Night Carers to join Gloria’s dedicated team. The night shift involves personal care, house chores, cooking and laundry. You will accompany Gloria to all her evening outings and appointments enabling her to live independently and fulfil her chosen lifestyle. You will administer Gloria’s medication; ensure she is comfortable and safe at all times and you will be required to complete all housekeeping tasks related to Gloria’s care – eg. washing, equipment cleaning etc.
3 to 4 nights per week available, you will be required to work alternate weekends. 8.00pm to 8.00am. £15.00 to £18.00 gross per hour depending on experience.

This would be a fantastic role for a candidate who can bring previous waking night experience, a friendly but professional approach and a good understanding of the different aspects of working within a private family setting.

What’s great about this job:
This is a permanent, long-term position with excellent training provided.  All training will be given by a specialist nurse. You will receive ongoing support from her family and case manager. This is a very busy role, fun and exciting!
