About this client/child:
Lucy, almost 13 is looking for a fun, full of energy * female SEN School Holiday Nanny/buddy. She has a big brother Sam, who is incredibly loving and patient; he is particularly good at distracting her when her behaviour can become difficult. Lucy was born at 27 weeks and has global developmental delay; this presents with associated learning difficulties and at times Lucy will show behaviour that can challenge. Lucy, who has begun puberty, can be impulsive, especially if she is not getting her own way. During a tantrum Lucy can lash out, for example, kicking or pulling hair; she will do this especially when she feels more comfortable around someone
Overview of role:
A driver is not required for this role so living relatively local to Lucy will be a huge benefit. Having a knowledge of local activities would be great as Lucy loves going out and about; parks and shops are favourites. When at home Lucy will sing A LOT – a great voice is not essential but happy to make an exhibition of yourself, is! Sticking and pasting is another indoor favourite of Lucy’s, as is cooking. School holiday cover is essential, but there may be additional hours available for school pickups, once or twice a week.
Who this job would suit:
This will be a fantastic role for students or School LSAs and will suit someone with lots of creative ideas, indoors and out.
What’s great about this job:
You will be working with a lovely family!
