Complex Care Waking Night Carer 
Location: Rotherfield, TN6. 
Wage: £15.00 Weekdays | £17.00 Weekends | Gross per Hour
Essential: Experience caring for a young client with complex care and medical needs, excellent communication skills
Days & Hours: 2 - 4 shifts available per week (Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) 7.30pm – 7.45am.
Family/Client Pets: Yes, dog, cat’s guinea pigs, and chickens

About this client/child:
Sam is 7 years old and lives at home with his Mummy, Daddy, Sister, and young Brother. Sam enjoys storytime, listening to music, feeding the guinea pigs, spending time with his siblings and he loves going to school. Sam has significant complex medical and care needs and is totally dependent on others to meet his needs. Sam has cerebral palsy, a gastrostomy PEG for all nutrients, fluids, and medication. He is a wheelchair user, is non-verbal, and requires catherisation, suctioning, and a nebulizer.  Sam has a full care team in place providing 24/7 care and support. 

Overview of role:
This Waking Night Carer role involves supporting Sam on a 1:1 basis with all aspects of his care plan throughout the night, close monitoring and supervision are essential, administering medication, manual handling, and repositioning, and ensuring he is comfortable. You will need to have experience supporting children with complex care needs, ideally within a family setting and continually engage with and reassure Sam if he is unsettled.
The Waking Night Carer must be able to commit to this role on a permanent basis. Excellent training is available in all aspects of Sam’s care. We can offer a minimim of two shifts per week and will be happy to offer set shifts to work around family/work or study commitments.

A confident, caring and, reliable Waking Night Carer who ideally has experience working within a family setting, previous experience supporting a child with complex care and medical needs is essential.
