About this client:
Adam (13) is a charming young lad who enjoys spending time with his family, exploring the outdoors, and spotting the various animals that visit his garden. Adam has athetoid cerebral palsy, severe dystonia (movement disorder), respiratory difficulties when he is unwell and is fully dependent on others for all his personal care tasks. Adam is moved with hoists and slings. He has a blended diet and all fluids and medication via a PEG and Mic-key Button. He has a range of specialist equipment and is unable to weight bear or walk, so has a wheelchair to get around his home environment and the community.  Adam is non-verbal and communicates using facial expression and some Eye Gaze.  He can express his likes and dislikes to people who know him well.

Overview of role:
We are seeking a kind and experienced Waking Night Carer, who will tend to all Adam’s needs throughout the night and ensure he is comfortable and safe. You will be staying in the adjoining carer’s room, watch Adam via a monitor, and respond to any seizures he has, and assist with all his personal care needs. Full and part-time hours are available. Please confirm the nights you are available when applying. The available shifts are as follows:
Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday 8.00pm to 8.30am. Week 2: Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday 8.00pm to 8.30am. £15.00 gross per hour weekdays, £17.00 gross per hour weekends
