About this client/child:
Our fabulous client Jessica is 22 years old. She is a happy, engaging, and sociable young lady who enjoys a range of activities including shopping, going to restaurants, visiting zoos and farms, bingo and yoga. Jessica has cerebral palsy, a severe learning disability and epilepsy. Although she is dependent on others to meet her care needs, she strives for her independence and is very capable to make her own choices through gestures and non-verbal sounds. Jessica can eat orally but needs assistance with cutting food and placing this on a fork/spoon, as well as supervision to ensure she doesn’t choke.

Overview of role:
Jessica requires 1:1 hands-on practical support which includes personal care and administering medication. The Support Worker will assist Jessica in the afternoon/evening either doing activities at home or spending time together out in the community before the bedtime routine starts.  There are also additional sleeping night shifts available over the course of the month on Thursday and Saturday, usual shift pattern would be 8.45 pm to 7.00 am, please indicate if this would be of interest too. Rates offered are £95.00 gross for weekdays and £105.00 gross for weekends per night.

Who this job would suit:
This role would suit a confident, reliable, and trustworthy experienced *Female Support Worker. For this role, you must be confident in all aspects of personal care, manual handling and using tracking hoists. Training is provided and Jessica’s house is fully adapted however previous experience in these areas is essential. Jessica and her parents would ideally like to employ a Support Worker who lives locally to the family home.
