About this client:
Sean (21) is an engaging, fun loving young man who is passionate about music. With the aid of his support workers he plays the clarion and guitar, loves going to gigs and listening to live music. Sean has athetoid cerebral palsy and requires 2:1 support at all times. He is non verbal and uses a communication aid. He attends Treloars college. 

Overview of role:
The role will involve supporting Sean at home and in the community. He needs assistance with all aspects of personal care and assistance with a comprehensive therapy program. You must be confident to implement strategies, guidelines and programmes recommended by other health care professionals and therapists. You will support the team leader with the general team leading duties, conducting supervisions and appraisals and ensure that the team are providing the highest standard of care and support to Sean. You will be required to cover regular shifts on a rota basis. 36.5 hours per week but flexibility required to pick up extra shifts if required. Shifts available: Waking night, sleeping nights, alternate weekends and weekday hours. £28,470.00 gross per annum , £15.00 gross per hour weekdays and £16.00 gross per hour weekends, NLW for sleep in shifts. Waking night: 4.30pm to 8.00am but able to sleep after 11.00pm if the client does not require any assistance, Sleep in night: 4.30pm to 8.00 am to settle at 11.00pm and be woken once during the night to assist the client, Day shifts: 7.45am to 4.00pm

This job will suit a confident, positive, and caring support worker who has previous experience working with young adults with physical disabilities. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work on your own initiative is vital for this position.
