Essential: supporting children with ABI, challenging behaviour, female* support worker
Start Date:ASAP 
Days & Hours: Up to 26 hours per week 
Family Pets: 2 cats

About this client/child:
Phoebe, 11 is a lively and active girl. She enjoys playing on her Xbox, listening to music and likes to go swimming Phoebe lives with her parents, her twin brother and younger brother (5).  Phoebe has an acquired brain injury, sensory processing disorder and can present with challenging behaviour. 

Overview of role:
Your role will be to support Phoebe with her daily routine. She is currently home schooled, you will support her with her academic skill and work towards her therapeutic goals, guided by a tutor and therapist. The main focus is to develop Phoebe’s life skills, encourage her academic learning, as well as assist with positive interaction with her siblings. There is also a need to support with her personal care and behavioural management.
4  flexible days Monday to Friday 3.30pm to 8.00pm and either Saturday or Sunday 9.00am to 5.00pm. £15.00 gross per hour weekdays, £17.00 gross per hour weekends

This position will suit an energetic, hands on and sensitive candidate who has a good understanding and experience of working in a family environment. This is a busy family home; mum is very hands on and requires a Support worker who has the ability to work alongside her as well as taking sole charge. This is a wonderful opportunity to work with a fantastic young lady and help her to reach her full potential.
