Bank Support Worker
Location: Catford, SE6, London
Wage: £15.00 Weekdays | £17.00 Weekends | Gross per Hour | On-call Night rates: £120.00 Weekdays | £136.00 Weekends
Essential: Experience supporting a younger client with complex care needs.
Days & Hours: Bank / Casual Contract, shifts available weekly 
Family/Client Pets: Yes, cat and potentially getting a therapy dog soon.

About this client/child:
Our client Benjamin is 11 years old; he lives at home with his Mummy and three brothers. Benjamin will be relocating to the Croydon area towards the end of the year / early next year. He is a smiley, happy and engaging young chap and loves to be included in all activities. Benjamin has Total Body Dystonia which affects all areas of his development, he is reliant on others to meet all his needs and has 2:1 support, 24/7. Benjamin is a wheelchair user and uses hoists for all transfers.

Overview of role:
When supporting Benjamin alongside a team member, you will assist with all aspects of his care plan, personal care needs, manual handling, school runs (driving), therapy programmes, and medical needs. The Support Worker will encourage and facilitate Benjamin to engage in activities and explore new hobbies and interests. As mentioned above the family is relocating to Croydon this year so we are looking for a Support Worker that can continue working with Benjamin when he relocates. Shifts:
Weekdays: 2.30pm to 9.00pm,
Weekends: 9.00am - 9.00pm 
Nights(waking and on-call): 9.00pm - 9.00am 

Who this job would suit:
An experienced, caring and proactive Support Worker, you will be confident working within a family setting. This is a busy family home, so it is ‘all hands-on deck’ when needed! We are looking for a sensitive and experienced Support Worker with excellent communication skills.
