About this client/child:
Our client Seb is 11 years old, living at home with Mum, Dad, and his brother and sister. He is supported at home and in school by a team of support workers, therapists, and waking night carers. Seb is a bright and engaging little boy and has cerebral palsy and developmental delay which affects him physically. Seb uses Eye Gaze to support his communication. He is fed and has his medication administered via a gastrostomy and is completely dependent on others for all of his personal care, feeding, and mobilisation.
Overview of role:
As Seb’s support worker you will assist with his weekend routine, plan and organise activities he can enjoy with his siblings, provide hands-on practical support with personal care, medication, feeding, preparing pureed feeds, and also assist with implementing his therapy programmes.
Who this job would suit:
Seb is looking for a confident and energetic Support Worker who has previous experience caring for a child with complex care needs, however an aptitude for hands-on learning is key and a willingness to learn on the job, coupled with a true passion for working with children would suit this position. This is a permanent role so we are looking for a long-term commitment.
What’s great about this job:
This is a flexible role and we will work with a suitable applicant’s availability. If you are interested please apply today and Jade will be in touch to discuss the next steps.
