About this client:
Anna (4) is a gorgeous and happy little girl with the biggest smile. She loves cuddles, spending time with her parents and younger sister. She just started attending a primary school twice a week, which she really enjoys. Anna sustained a severe brain injury that resulted in cerebral palsy, dystonia and fluctuating tone, sight impairment and microcephaly. She is hoisted for all transfers. Anna is non-verbal, she communicates using facial expression, vocalisation and is just starting to explore using eye pointing.  Her medication, fluids and feeds are administered via PEG. Anna requires 2:1 care at all times.

Overview of role:
As a Waking Night Carer, your role will be to monitor Anna throughout the night to ensure she is safe and comfortable. The role will involve assisting with all aspects of the night routine; you must be confident in manual handling, providing personal care and administering medication. You will carefully observe Anna via monitor in the adjoining room. During this time, you’ll keep occupied to be alert and of course, always awake. In the morning you will assist with the morning routine and get Anna ready for school. Anna requires 2:1 support and there will be a second person on call if assistance is needed. Shifts available: Monday to Sunday 8.30pm to 7.00/8.30am. We are looking for at least 3 candidates to cover these shifts, please confirm your availability when applying. £15.00 gross weekdays, £17.00 gross weekends
