Title: Educator / Specialist Nanny
Location: St John’s Wood, NW8
Wage: £18.00 (weekdays), £20.00 (weekends) gross per hour (£40,000.00 + Gross per Annum)

Essential: A minimum of 3 years’ hands-on childcare experience in a family setting with multiple siblings, with children between 6 to 9 years. Excellent knowledge of children’s developmental stages. Educated to diploma/degree level or equivalent. Experience with children with Emotional, Social and Behavioural needs
Desirable: An educational or psychology background, experience with pre-teenage children
Days & Hours: 4.5 days on, Monday to Friday: 1.00 pm – 9.00 pm, Weekends and School Holidays: Between 8 to 12-hour shifts according to activities planned. Additional Team meetings/de-briefing hours across the month paid as extra.

About this client/child:
The family comprises 3 children: Tom and Lucy, aged 5, and Jack, 11, who live at home with their mum and dad. The younger children need extra support with their emotional needs, there can be some behaviour that may challenge, although these are increasingly rare and mild. Tom enjoys playing with trucks, construction toys, and being active outdoors, Lucy enjoys unicorns, dollies, and being outdoors.

Overview of role:
The family has an ongoing intervention to support the needs of the whole family. As an educator, you will work under the guidance of a highly experienced Early Interventions Consultant to implement agreed strategies. You’ll provide clear, professional, and accurate feedback to her as you look after the children alongside mum; you will be the consultant’s ‘eyes on the ground’. Your role as an educator will be key to help the children's developmental potential to fully flourish. You will be executing important work in support of the children’s positive social & behavioural skills and in the promotion of effective emotional regulation. You will work 4 ½ days on/off to provide consistent cover and continuity. You will meet the consultant several times a month to discuss the intervention, training, and de-briefing. Some travel with the family, including within the UK, Europe, and International travel.

Who this job would suit:
We are seeking for an experienced and professional candidate who has excellent knowledge of neurotypical milestones and development as well as experience with children experiencing Emotional, Social, and Behavioural difficulties. You’ll be familiar with working in families with multiple siblings and able to manage the varying dynamics this can create. You will be patient, level-headed, calm, compassionate, and emotionally robust. This role requires someone who is happy to commit to a long-term position. You must be able to work both independently and as part of a team, able to execute the instruction and follow protocol, while also showing initiative as needed.
