About this client:
Tom (8) is a bright and friendly little boy who likes reading books, music, playing with ball and spending time with his twin sister, Sarah. He is great fun to be around, he loves learning and works hard at this and his therapy. Tom’s sister Sarah is a very independent young lady who likes to cook and do art and science projects. Tom has cerebral palsy and is physically dependent on others for all his needs, he is not mobile. Tom is non-verbal and uses pictures and eye pointing to support his communication. He is very alert and will let you know through facial expressions and sounds, his likes and dislikes.
Overview of role:
This is a fantastic role for two intuitive, warm, and energetic SEN Nannies/ Mannies with a genuine interest in child development. During the week, you’ll drive Tom to his therapy appointment, and then onto school. In the afternoons, once you have picked up both children from school, you’ll organise activities both children can enjoy. Weekends will be organising fun activities for Tom or both children. Your support will help Tom reach new goals and promote his independence, toileting, and communication skills. This is a job share for 2 people. Who this job would suit:
This role would suit a fun and proactive SEN Nanny/ Manny who enjoys working with children, helping them develop and achieve new milestones. You will be resourceful and find new stimulating and age-appropriate opportunities for Tom to develop physically and cognitively. You will be comfortable working in a private home alongside family members, pitch in as and when needed and understand boundaries and privacy. It is essential that you are a confident driver, you will be driving the children to school and to other activities.
