About this client/child:
This is an exciting opportunity to join a busy, fun household to support delightful twins Ethan and Marie (7.5). They are looking for a fantastic SEN Nanny/ Manny who can truly become part of the family. Ethan enjoys reading books, playing with balls and listening to music. Marie likes to cook, run and doing art and science projects. Ethan has cerebral palsy and is fully dependent on others for all his needs. He is non verbal but can clearly express his likes and dislikes, and he is very interactive.
Overview of role:
We are looking for a proactive SEN Nanny/ Manny with lots of energy, enthusiasm and genuine interest to support children with additional needs. Your role will be to support both children with their school and weekend routine. You will be required to provide personal care to Ethan, administer medication, accompany him to his therapy session, and implement the therapy in his daily routine. You will also be required to motivate and stimulate Ethan and find new opportunities to develop Ethan’s physically and cognitively. You will need to be able to resource stimulating and age-appropriate activities for both children and of course have lots of fun. Ethan is not toilet trained and you will be confident to support him achieve this milestone, for example. £16.00 gross per hour weekdays, £19.00 gross per hour weekends
