About this client:
Finn (11) is a charming boy who likes a chilled environment; listening to music and stories, sensory lights, massage and hydrotherapy. Finn has an Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) and requires support with all his needs; he has epilepsy. Finn has all food and medication are administered via a PEG tube. Finn's house is fully adapted to meet his needs and he has a range of therapies, including physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and hydrotherapy.  Finn is at the heart of a loving family; Mum, Dad, two big brothers, a new little brother, and a friendly dog. This is a busy, active, but fun family home!

Overview of role:
We are seeking two waking night carers to work alternate weekends. As Finn’s Waking Night Carer, you’ll will support him throughout the night. You will assist with all aspects of his care needs, including personal care, feeding and medication.  You’ll monitor Finn from the carers’ room, that is comfortably equipped including tea and coffee making facilities. The Waking Night Carer will carry out regular observations, document and record accurate information, and follow all aspects of Finn’s care plan. The shifts are Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 8.00pm to 8.00am. There are additional day shifts available including alternate Tuesdays, 8.00am to 8.00pm and cover for holiday and sickness periods. The weekend rate is £16.00, weekdays £14.00 gross per hour.
