Part-Time Support Worker
Location: Enfield, N21
Wage: £16.50 Gross per Hour
Essential: Experience working with behaviours that challenge, supporting a young client with an acquired brain injury (ABI)  
Days & Hours: 3 afternoons per week: 4.00pm – 8.00pm

About our client:
Noah is 11 years old, he loves swimming, watching street performers, arts and crafts, and spending time with his family. Noah has a hypoxic brain injury, epilepsy, and complex learning and communication difficulties. Noah can become overwhelmed and frustrated when he is not understood or is finding it difficult to communicate, also if he perceives that he has failed. Noah is very busy; he is mobile and able to communicate his needs and wishes verbally. Noah requires assistance with all daily tasks, therapy input, and self-regulation. 

Overview of role:
In this role, the Support Worker will provide 1:1 care and support to Noah, create and plan fun and educational activities he can enjoy in his family home and out and about in the community. He has lots of energy and loves to play. The Support Worker will implement his therapies such as SALT and work alongside his multi-disciplinary team to ensure he is reaching his targets and developmental goals. The Support Worker will work with Noah to help him regulate and manage his behaviours.

Who this job would suit:
A sensitive and understanding Support Worker with previous experience supporting a young client with an ABI and behavioural needs. This is a great part-time role for LSA or TA looking for additional working hours, or a support worker currently working part-time.
