Days & Hours: Alternate Saturday & Sunday 7.00am to 7.00pm

About this client/child:
Jed, 20, lives at home with his parents and twin sisters aged 12. He has complex physical and neurological needs and requires constant assistance with all aspects of personal and medical care.

Overview of role:
We are looking for two Support Worker’s to job share and ensure Jed has cover every weekend. Please note you will only be required to work every other weekend. The role will involve taking Jed out for different activities and trips, always with another support worker. When at home you will support Jed with his personal care and administer his medication via PEG. Experience with this is an advantage, but training and support will be given. The position will require the support worker to use a hoist. A driver would be preferable, a manual car is available to use when on duty.

Who this job would suit:
We are keen to hear from a caring, energetic and pro-active Support Workers who are willing to work within a small team. A sense of humour is a must! Previous experience supporting clients with complex physical needs is desirable but not essential. An enhanced DBS will be required, but this will be undertaken for the successful candidate if they are not on the DBS Update Service.
