Saturday Support Worker 

Location: Maidstone, Kent, ME17 
Wage/Salary: £18.00 gross per hour
Essential: Confident supporting a young client with epilepsy. Confident driver (will require own car to travel to and from work due to remote location)
Days & Hours: Alternate Saturday 8.00am - 4.00pm

About our client:
Frankie is 5 years old and lives with his family in Maidstone, he is extremely sociable, loves playing games with his siblings, swimming, jumping on his trampoline, and sensory activities. Frankie has Cerebral Palsy, Epilepsy and receives all his nutrition, fluid, and medication via his PEG, he is a wheelchair user and communicates using sounds, facial expressions and is currently learning PECS to support his communication. Frankie is dependent on 1:1 support to meet all his care needs and he is recruiting a weekend Support Worker to join his package. 

Overview of role:
The Weekend Support Worker will enable Frankie to participate in activities, attend events, access the community, and have a fun-filled weekend. Frankie loves to play with his siblings, and he would like his Support Worker to facilitate him to do this. The Support Worker will be confident in all aspects of providing care and support, including personal care, manual handling, PEG, and epilepsy management. The Support Worker will follow the care and therapy plan, be trained in all areas of Frankie’s care, and should be comfortable working within a family environment.

Who this job would suit:
An experienced Support Worker or Teaching Assistant that has previously supported a young client with epilepsy and is looking for additional hours on a permanent basis. It is essential that you are a non-smoker / vaper and a confident swimmer.
