Driver Essential? Yes (automatic car on duty)

Days & Hours: Monday to Friday: 6.30am – 8.30am | 3.30pm – 8.00pm (Offering part-time or full-time contracts, please get in touch with your availability)

About this client/child:
Anna is 8 years old and loves horse riding, cooking, listening to music, and playing on her Ipad. Anna lives at home with her family (Mum, Dad, Younger brother, and 2 older siblings who stay regularly). Anna has Cerebral Palsy and Epilepsy as a result of her additional needs requires 1:1 support to meet all her care needs. Anna is a wheelchair user for long distances (manual and automatic) and can crawl and walk using her walker, she communicates using sounds, gestures, and some symbols.  Anna is currently recruiting new Support Workers / Carers to join her care team on a permanent basis.

Overview of role:
The Support Worker / Carer will provide 1:1 support following all aspects of Anna’s care plan, therapy programme, and established routine (morning and afternoon). The Support Worker / Carer will assist with manual handling, personal care, administering medication, and following the training providing by the Psychologist to support Anna’s self-regulation and behaviour if she becomes overwhelmed. Training will also be provided to support Anna’s epilepsy to administer emergency medication as and when required.

There are morning and afternoon shifts available on this package, with additional hours during school holidays. Please apply if you have availability to cover some shifts on a permanent basis.
