About this client:
About this client: Ben (3), is a sweet and gorgeous little boy who enjoys cuddles and spending time with his family and friends, sensory play, and watching his favorite children's tv programs and films. Ben has cerebral palsy affecting all his limbs, he is able to roll independently and sit with support. He is non-verbal but can express his likes and dislikes through vocalizations and gestures. Ben has recently been diagnosed with epilepsy; his seizures are controlled by daily medication. Ben requires support with all daily tasks. He can be nervous of new people and situations and is sensitive to loud noises.

Overview of role:
Ben is looking for a sensitive and patient support worker who will gently establish a caring bond with him and who will assist with his daily routine. You will be required to provide all aspects of personal care, administer medication, and implement the therapy program created by his multidisciplinary team - and of course, play and have lots of fun together. Ben’s family haven’t had a support worker involved before and will gradually build up a full team.
Days and hours: Wednesday and Friday 8.00am – 6.30pm, £16.00 gross per hour weekdays

This position will suit a calm, experienced, caring and patient support worker who enjoys working within a family home environment and providing 1:1 support.  You need to be a great team player; you will be working alongside mum and Ben’s therapy team.
