Bank Support Worker
Location: Northwood, HA6
Wage: £15.00 weekdays £17.00 weekends Gross per Hour
Essential: Working with children with complex care needs, managing behaviours, working within a family setting
Days & Hours: Up to 2 shifts during term time and additional hours available school holidays  
Accommodation: Support Worker room and ensuite which can be used for break times.

About this child:
Jake is 9 years old; he is an outgoing, active, and gregarious young man with a passion for swimming and hopes to take up horse riding and skiing in the near future; Jake also enjoys trips to London on the train! Jake has Cerebral Palsy, a Learning Disability, Developmental Delay, Autistic Behaviours, and a Visual Impairment. Jake strives for his independence; he is mobile at home and uses a wheelchair for longer distances. The family are relocating to Bray, Berkshire (35/40mins) in a years’ time and would ideally like the Bank Support Worker to continue working on the team, so this position is ideal for a candidate located between Northwood and Bray (although not essential)
Overview of role:
Jake requires 1:1 support, he needs assistance with self-regulation, communication, personal care, accessing activities, exploring new hobbies and interests. Jake can present with behaviours that challenge and he enjoys spending time in his sensory relaxation room to calm and sooth. The Support Worker will ideally be available for up to 2 shifts per week, supporting afterschool or weekends. The rota is provided 1 month in advance and of course, there is shifts to pick up to cover sickness and leave.
Who this job would suit:
An experience Support Worker that has previously worked with children with complex care needs and behaviours. Jake enjoys swimming so it would be preferable to have a Support Worker confident supporting a child in the pool or during hydrotherapy.
