About this client:
Thomas, 17 is a smart and curious young man with great sense of humour and variety of interests. He attends a local collage, loves music of any kind, writing stories, exploring everything new and different and riding his bike,  the list is long! Thomas has cerebral palsy and is dependent on others for all his needs. Thomas is a wheelchair user, is non-verbal but uses a communication aid with a great efficiency. 

Overview of role:
Your role will be to support Thomas with his afternoon and weekend routine, providing personal care, enable him to pursue his interests and exploring new activities. We are looking for a personable candidate who will bring new skills/ interests to Thomas’s team. If you play an instrument, speak a foreign language, are sporty or have any other great hobby or skills we would like to hear from you! 
Working hours are: Week 1: Monday and Thursday 3:45pm to 9:30pm, Week 2: Monday and Friday 3.45pm – 9.30pm, Sunday 8am - 5.30pm. There is an opportunity to work additional hours in school holiday by mutual agreement. The hourly rate is £14.00 gross per hour. 
 The days mentioned above are flexible and can be swapped with the other carers.

This is an exciting position, no experience in care is required. You will be reliable, positive, fun and proactive candidate. You will be flexible and adaptable; Thomas is currently experiencing some challenges in life, and you need to be patient and understanding. You must have excellent communication skills, be a team player and be happy to take direction.
