Waking Night Carer  
Location: Bexleyheath, DA6
Wage: Minimum: £31,800.00 + Gross per Annum | £17.00 Weekdays | £19.00 Weekends | Gross per Hour
Essential: Acquired Brain Injury experience and previously worked within a family setting, non-smoker/vaper.
Start Date: ASAP
Days & Hours: 36 hours per week. 3x12 hour shifts, 8.00pm – 8.00am

About this client:
William is 49 years old and lives in Bexleyheath with his partner and 10-year-old daughter. He enjoys arts and crafts, carpentry, getting out and about, and spending time with his family. William sustained a Traumatic Brain Injury and as a result requires additional support 24/7 to live an independent life, 2:1 support during the day and 1:1 night carer. William can communicate verbally, although his vocab is limited. Whilst at home with the assistance of his support worker he can walk around the house, when he is outdoors, he uses a wheelchair. William has Type 1 diabetes.

Overview of role:
As William’s Waking Night Carer, you will support him with the evening routine, assisting William when he is ready to go to bed, prepping his bedroom, supporting him with personal care tasks, set up his call bell, and ensure when he is in bed, he is comfortable. The Waking Night Carer will check on William regularly throughout the night, documenting and recording accurate information and repositioning when required. Whilst William is sleeping or does not require support you will complete tasks such as checking medication, stock, cleaning equipment, or folding laundry. In the morning you will assist William when required and complete a handover with the day support workers.  

The role is a full-time, permanent position and will require some weekend work. We are unable to offer set shifts and the rota is provided 4 weeks in advance. Additional hours worked outside the contracted 36, paid at the hourly rate.
