About this client:
Gina (28), is a friendly and curious young lady who wishes to pursue career in retail. Gina sustained a brain injury because of operation when she was 10 and needs support and encouragement with her daily routine. She experiences low moods and anxiety, she has impaired balance, poor concentration, and lack of insight. Gina is keen to explore new activities and find new hobbies; start going to gym, go dancing and shopping, meet new friends and learn how to cook and live independently.

Overview of role:
We are looking for a sociable, caring, and friendly PA / Support Worker who will support and assist Gina with her daily living tasks and accessing the community, and promote independence and encourage functional skills.  You will support Gina to explore new interests and facilitate new opportunities and goals for her. Due to her injury Gina has remained socially isolated and you will assist her to live the live she wishes. Gina lives with her parents, but her long-term goal is to move to an apartment and live independently. Communication is an important aspect of this role; you will liaise with all professionals and team members involved in Gina’s care. 35 hours per week: Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday 9.00am to 6.00pm, Saturday 10.00am to 6.00pm.  £15.50 weekdays; £17.50 weekends, gross per hour.

Who this job would suit:
This job will suit a motivated, proactive support worker with plenty of common sense; someone with strong experience supporting a young client with an acquired brain injury, who understands the importance of promoting independence. This will suit someone who is fun, proactive, and empathetic. A confident driver with own vehicle is essential to this role, you will accompany Gina to appointments and outings, mileage will be paid.
