About this client:
Stella (32) is a fabulous, active young lady with a huge passion for life. She enjoys arts and craft, baking, sensory and soft play, and outdoor activities. Stella lives in her own bungalow with her beloved cats.  Stella has complex medical care needs, Autism, Attention Deficit Disorder, OCD (obsessive-compulsive disorder) and Sensory Processing Disorder. She is happy and friendly but can present on occasions with behaviour that may be challenging. Stella requires all-round support to help her live independently and manage her medical needs.

Overview of role:
We are recruiting for a full team of registered nurses to enable Stella to leave the hospital after 11 months and return home. This position is about supporting Stella to live a fulfilling and independent life and enabling her to pursue her interests. Your role will involve assistance with all aspects of the daily routine; you must be confident in manual handling, providing personal care, managing her complex medical needs, and administering medication. Stella’s medical needs consist of tracheostomy, Hickman line, Gastrostomy, Ileostomy, TPN.. Full training will be provided.

Full, part time and bank hours are available for the right candidate. £26.50 gross per hour between the hours of 8.00am to 8.00pm, £27.50 gross per hour between the hours of 8pm – 8.00am, £30.00 gross per hour weekends and £35.00 gross per hour bank holidays

Who this job would suit:
This job will suit a motivated, proactive registered nurse with plenty of common sense who has strong experience supporting a young client with complex medical needs and a learning disability. Someone who understands the importance of promoting independence. You will be supported by Stella’s clinical lead, other team members and her family. You must be a team player and be comfortable working alongside her team. A driving license is essential. This is such a fantastic opportunity to work with and enable a charming young lady to live independently.
