Bank / Casual Disability Support Worker 
Location: Canterbury, CT1
Wage: £15.00 Weekdays | £17.00 Weekends | Gross per Hour
Essential: Experience supporting a younger client with complex care needs, non-smoker / non-vaper.  Confident driver (an adapted automatic vehicle for use on duty)

About this client/child:
Our client Peter is 7 years old; he is a sociable and engaging cheeky chap who loves spending time with his younger siblings and his family. Peter has physical and cognitive disabilities; he requires full assistance for all activities of daily living. Peter is a wheelchair user, he uses specialist equipment such as a standing frame, walker and communicates using sounds and facial expressions. Peter loves Mr. Thumble, playing outdoors on the swing, sensory play, storytime, and looking at fish!

Overview of the role:
As Peter’s Support Worker you will assist with all aspects of his care plan, therapy programmes, self-help skills, personal care, accessing the community, and participating in fun and educational activities. The Support Worker will provide hands-on practical support, assist with meal prep, administer medications, and continually promote Peter’s independence. This is a bank contract and the Support Worker will be offered shifts as and when they are available, on a weekly basis. 

Shifts/hours available**
Monday to Friday: 07.00am to 09.00am | 3.00pm to 8.00 pm
Weekends and School Holidays: 08.00 am to 8.00 pm

Who this job would suit:
A confident, proactive, and positive Support Worker with previous experience supporting a young client with complex care needs. A driver is essential as well as a non-smoker. .
