About this client/child:
Sarah 5, is an adorable little girl who likes being cuddled and listening to music, particularly reggae!  She enjoys a lot of stimulation, soft, furry textures and responds well to sensory equipment.  Sarah has cerebral palsy, dystonia, epilepsy, she is registered blind and has a sleeping disorder. Sarah has a pureed food diet and takes all her food and fluids orally. She requires 2:1 assistance with all aspects of her routine and care needs. 

Overview of role:
This role involves supporting Sarah and tending to all her care needs throughout the night. The Night Support Worker will follow her care plan, assisting with administering medication, completing personal care duties, and repositioning and manual handling as and when required. Sarah sometimes wakes early and will remain awake for the rest of the day, so on these occasions, you will be required to play with her and facilitate purposeful and stimulating activity.  Shifts available:

Term Time: Tuesday waking night 21.00 – 08.00, Wednesday and Sunday 19.00-07.00 (sleeping night hours between 20.30 - 07.00)
School Holidays: Tuesday waking night 20.00 – 08.00, Wednesday and Sunday 19.00-08.00 (sleeping night hours between 20.30 - 07.00)
£15.00 gross per hour weekday and £17.00 weekend, sleeping hours are £10.20 weekday and £11.40 weekend
