About this client/child:
Andrew a smiley, energetic and cheerful 7-year-old with a zest for life. He loves getting out and about, playing on his iPad, and cuddles with his two cats! Andrew lives at home with his Mum and Dad and is soon to be a big brother! Andrew has Cerebral Palsy, he strives for his independence and although he needs support to meet his care needs, Andrew is mobile and uses walking aids, he can find it difficult to vocalise and uses eye gaze to support his communication.

Overview of role:
The Weekend Support Worker will enable Andrew to participate in activities, explore current and new hobbies and interests, and access the local community. The Support Workers role will also involve following all aspects of Andrew’s care and therapy plan, assisting with personal care and all self-help skills, acting as his ‘Therapy Buddy’  following his programmes provided by his therapist. As Andrew’s Support Worker you will be required to document and record accurate information and monitor stock supplies. Additional hours are available during school holidays and the start and finish times on Saturday are flexible depending on what the Support Worker has planned for Andrew.

Who this job would suit:
An excellent communicator that is proactive, energetic, and fun. The successful candidate must be a driver, a non-smoker/vaper, and have great childcare experience. This role would be great for an LSA, TA, or SEN Teacher looking to earn additional income during the weekends and school holidays.
