About this client:
Robert, 19, is a happy and active young man. He loves running in open spaces, swimming, horse riding and other physical activities. He also enjoys playing board games. Robert is autistic, has processing sensory disorder and epilepsy. Robert is non-verbal and communicates with gestures and cards. He requires 2:1 assistance with all aspects of personal care, daily activities, and social skills. 

Overview of role:
We are seeking a proactive and confident Teacher / Home Educator, who will support Robert with his home education programme, supporting him to access as much learning as possible and achieve, where possible, appropriate age-related targets. The successful candidate will use their initiative to develop, adapt and implement a specific learning programme for Robert’s learning needs and implement techniques from his therapists and family.  Your responsibilities will include report writing, support, training, and the management of Robert’s dedicated team. Up to £45,000.00 gross per annum depending on experience. The client’s preferred working hours are Monday to Friday, 8.00am to 4.00pm, but there is some flexibility with hours for the right candidate.

Who this job would suit:
This job will suit a proactive, energetic, and caring Teacher / Home Educator who has a passion for teaching, with a student-centred approach. You will be confident to lead and motive Robert’s small care team and work alongside his multidisciplinary team. We are particularly keen to hear from candidates with a background in Teaching, Psychology or Occupational therapy.
