SEN Buddy / Support Worker
Location: Bromley, BR2
Wage: £16.00 Weekdays | £18.00 Weekends | Gross per Hour
Driver required? Preferable
Use of a car? No will need own car (Mileage paid when using for work purposes)
Essential: Experience supporting a client with a brain injury and/or learning disabilities, childcare experience,

Days & Hours: Up to 2 afternoons per week 4.00 pm – 8.00 pm and occasional weekends

About this client:
Aarav is 14 years old, he has microcephaly, global development delay, moderate hearing loss, and receptive and expressive language impairment. He is an extremely capable young man however he does require prompting and guidance to complete daily tasks. Aarav is a gamer, he loves playing computer games but also enjoys physical activities such as cycling, swimming, and table tennis.  He is a fun, energetic, and engaging teen and is looking for an SEN Buddy / PA that shares similar interests.

Overview of role:
The SEN Buddy / Support Worker will enable and facilitate Aarav to access the community and explore new interests and hobbies. You will continually promote Aarav’s independence, be a great role model and advocate for him. The role will involve picking Aarav up from his specialist school in Central London, taking part in activities that are fun, engaging, and educational.  We want Aarav to have lots of fun and enjoy his time with his SEN Buddy / Support Worker in the afternoon and on occasional weekends. An active SEN Buddy / Support Worker that will take advantage of all the wonderful activities and events the city has to offer and bring new ideas and opportunities for Aarav to get involved in.

Who this job would suit:
An energetic, proactive, and sensitive SEN Buddy / Support Worker that is confident and an excellent communicator. Previous experience supporting a young client with a brain injury, or a learning disability is essential.
