Part-Time Carer 
Location: Ditchling, BN6
Wage: £12.50 Weekdays £14.50 Weekends £18.75 Bank Holiday (Gross per Hour) £87.20 Sleep-in Night (Gross per Shift)
Driver required? Essential
Use of a car? On Duty WAV vehicle, however, will need own car to travel to and from work
Essential: Experience supporting a client with complex needs
Days & Hours: 20 hours contracted per week (12 hours at the weekend and 8 hours during the week) Additional hours available - including nights, weekends, and school holidays, all to be agreed with the family.

About this client/child:
Our client Sophia is 16 years old and lives with her family in Hassocks. Sophia is recruiting a care team to provide hands-on care and support. Sophia has cerebral palsy, epilepsy, a visual impairment, a PEG in-situ, and requires suctioning. Despite her complex care and medical needs, Sophia lives life to the full and enjoys a range of activities, and has a long list of hobbies which include aromatherapy, listening to music, and spending time with her family.

Overview of role:
Sophia is recruiting a new team member to provide support in the morning, afternoons, weekends, and during the night. The role will involve assisting Sophia with all aspects of her care plan, including personal care, implementing therapy programmes as instructed by her therapists, enabling her to access leisure activities and explore new interests and hobbies.

Weekdays: 07.00 am to 10.00 am and 3.00 pm to 8.00 pm
Weekends: 12 Hour shifts 
Night shift (flexible): 9.00 pm to 07.00 am (sleep in nights)
School Holidays: 9 hours per day (all flexible and to be discussed with the family)
