About this client/child:
Mark 11, is a sparky and charming boy who loves to be kept busy.  He enjoys going to the library and farms, going up and down in lifts and travelling on the bus.  Bouncing on the trampoline and playing on a swing are his most favourite activities! Mark has dystonic cerebral palsy which causes involuntary movements in all four limbs. He can take food orally but requires support to ensure he doesn’t choke or aspirate. Additional fluids and medications are administered via PEG. Mark is non-verbal, he is using a range of devices and aids to communicate. He can express yes and no clearly.

Overview of role:
Your role will be to support Mark with his daily routine, providing personal care, assisting with meals and bath time and organising fun activities and outings.  You will implement programmes from a variety of therapists, including physio, speech and occupational therapist, in a fun, creative and playful way.  Days and hours: Alternate Friday 5.00pm to 10.00pm and Alternate Sunday 2.00pm to 8.00pm. £14.00 gross per hour weekdays, £16.00 gross per hour weekends
